Kosher Wine Tasting Social Event
Carl and Belinda Wiseman, of 31 Kodiak Dr., in Woodbury, invite the Jewish community to a Kosher Wine Tasting Social, to take place in their home on
Saturday Eve, February 28 2009, at 8:00 P.M.
The event is sponsored by Town of Oyster Bay Chabad in Woodbury
In addition to a fine selection of top Kosher wines; gourmet cheeses, crackers, pastries, salad bar, and more will be offered. Guests will learn a bit about the Kaballah of wine, as well as the hows and why's of wine appreciation, while mingling with attendees.
This Event is unique, in that only Kosher wines will be served. Due to the complex Kosher laws, the wines available to the Kosher consumer in most recent decades, were a far cry from their Non Kosher counterparts.
Today, with the advance of technology, Kosher wines are winning many prestigious awards, often times outshining the non kosher competitors. The Riverside International Wine Competition (one of the world's most prestigious wine competitions) just awarded Baron Herzog Chenin Blanc the coveted Chairman's Award, from among over 2500 competing wines (non-kosher).
