Town of Oyster Bay Chabad Invites All Jewish Women to the 48TH WINTER CONVENTION RETREAT at the Hilton Stamford Hotel in Stamford, Connecticut.

Speakers and Entertainers:

 

Rabbi Eli Wolf lectures on a wide range of topics including Talmudic themes, Judaic law, and theosophical Jewish thought. Renowned for his ability to teach scholarly subject matter in a clear and eloquent manner, Rabbi Wolf captivates his audiences with his charisma and warmth. He lives in Brooklyn, NY with his wife Chanie and their two sons.
Mirele Rosenberger, a former staff member of the Julliard School of Dance, Opera and Drama, who has also served on the faculty of Sarah Lawrence College and N.Y.U., Mirele is an accomplished pianist, composer and arranger. Simcha is Mirele's forte as she provides music for dancing and expertly accompanies singers and choirs. Accompanied by her mother, Mirele, Yocheved Perlman entertains audiences with her magnificently trained voice. She has appeared with singing sensation Ruti Navon and Kineret and whenever this mother/daughter duo performs, audiences respond enthusiastically by singing and dancing in the aisles.
Sara Esther Crispe is the creator and editor of the women’s site www.TheJewishWoman.org, a project of www.chabad.org where she is a featured writer. Additionally, she is a well-known lecturer and leading speaker of women’s issues. She has spoken across America, as well as Europe, Canada and South America. Known for her clear and direct approach, she is able to take current and provocative issues and make them meaningful and personal to audiences of various backgrounds. Sara Esther and her husband were the founders and directors of Torat Chesed: The Institute for Advanced Learning for Jewish Women in Jerusalem, Israel. She has her BA from the University of California, San Diego in Literature/Writing and studied for her Master’s at Brooklyn College in Literary Theory where she was a lecturer of Composition. Her first book, I Used to be the Perfect Mother...Then I Had Kids is in the process of being published.  She lives with her husband and four beautiful children in Merion, PA.

Sarah Karmely's expertise in the field of family purity, relationships, love and marriage make her a vibrant and enthusiastic speaker who has been lecturing and counseling for over 20 years. Her lectures stress traditional Jewish marriage and family ideals. Bringing first-hand experience into her dynamic lectures and sensitive, successful counseling, Mrs. Karmely is tri-lingual, speaking a fluent English, Persian and Italian, and has attracted packed houses all across the U.S. as well as overseas. Mrs. Karmely has been the director of Sha'arei Tovah Talmud Torah for the last 15 years. She is co-editor of Shalom Magazine, a bi-lingual outreach publication, and has written Thoughts To Hear With Your Heart, and a more advanced version, Words To Hear With Your Heart. Sarah has also created the inspirational and motivating Jewish Learning Series releasing two new CDs: Shalom Bayis (Domestic Tranquility) and Taharas Hamishpacha (Family Purity).

For over two decades Bracha Meshchaninov has been involved in teaching Torah to Jewish women in a variety of settings including Bais Chana, Machon Chana and Omek, and in classes and workshops throughout the Northeast. Currently Bracha gives weekly shiurim in
Greenwich Connecticut and in Monsey, New York. Her style is both
intellectual and informal as she integrates a wide range of traditional Jewish wisdom with contemporary perspectives. Bracha has a degree in Education from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. Her formal Torah training was in Neve Yerushalyim of Jerusalem, Machon Alta in Tsfat and Machon Chana in Brooklyn, New York. With interests in alternative health, nutrition and the arts,  Bracha strives to bring her broad, life affirming vision to her students while creating a stimulating, growth-filled learning environment. Bracha recently founded the Women's Torah Learning Circle (Womens TLC) a forum for women at different levels of Jewish practice to experience  interactive and inspiring Torah based holistic events.

The hotel is about 40 minutes from Laguardia Airport and about 60 minutes from JFK Airport. There are several companies that provide transportation from the airports to Stamford, at frequent intervals (cheaper than a taxi).
Please keep in mind that Shabbos comes in at approximately 4:00 so leave ample time for travel.
